This is one of my characters from days of yore. Still trying to finish her story. Basically Attarra was a princess that was taken by raiders after they attacked her small secluded kingdom . Abused and sold into slavery, her indominable will is put to the test as she is forced to fight as a gladiator. Attara befriends another gladiator, an amazonian named Kraylin, and takes her as her lover. Trained as child in the ways or horsemanship, swordplay and archery, as all nobles in her kingdom were, she has little trouble learning all she can from the arena. Her renown grows, and she eventually buys her freedom. Having no home of her own, she goes south with Kraylin and is brought into her tribe. After a few years, she returns to the mainstay of society to seek out her lost kingdom and becomes a mercenary. During that time, she falls prey to habitual drug use, and ends up as the owner of a brothel and opiate den in one of the seedier parts of northwest city.
She carries with her an enchanted bow, a spear, and most important, the golden lionhead breastplate that covers her body where she had her breast removed, as is common in amazon society. She is tall, lean and muscular, as well as scarred from years of fighting. She still retains an air of regal beauty to her, despite her hard life.
I saw the kool commission.. So I had to see where this char origins from.. great background story for her.. and kool char and like how you kept the amazonian tribe rights..aka boob lost just so they can shoot there bows without getting a boobie caught in it.. now typing this.. that be funny to see..>< .................GreatStuff...............

Thanks man for the kind words. I'm hard at work on something a little more lengthy with Attarra. All these commissions I've been getting done are my way of motivating myself to finish it up. Plus, maybe generate some interest in what she's all about.

If you're not failing every now and again, it's a sign you're not doing anything very innovative.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
